Best wishes Chamitha, you all should work together to get the Peradeniya Campus Life back to Peradeniya and make it the best university in SL.

The day should come that all students should be free to think for themselves. Every fresher should be able to step into Peradeniya without fear , intimidation or apprehension. Every student should be appreciative of and respect the free education they get and the hallowed institution which provides it. In the campus, get the students to channel their talents and energy towards culture, drama, aesthetics, art, sports, adventure, creativity, inventions and a gem pit for new ideas and opinions. Try to stop them from taking the path dictated to them by some politically decimated frustated people with negativity.

As I always tell you, take care, You cant change the world in one day, but at one step at a time, flexibility, humility, acceptance and leadership you certainly will.

Can you please tell me what is the software you are using for writing in Sinhala. Is it the online tool of UGSC. Is there a tool when we type mama in english converts to mama in Sinhala that can be used easily in Word.

Thank you everyone for your kind feedback. And I especially thank to you my dear sir for your valuable advice and guidance. Everything you told was totally true. If there is any method to transmit your valuable ideas to students who have gone under external influences intentionally or unintentionally, it will be extremely productive. That will guide them to take the correct path and enjoy the full benefits of our free education system.

Btw, the tool I use to type in Sinhala is the UCSC converter. But it'll be better if you could learn the standard Wijesekera keyboard which allows you to type Sinhala characters directly from keyboard so that you can type anywhere including MS Word. Two undergrad anti-ragging supporters brutally assaulted
by Cyril Wimalasurendre

KANDY - Two second year Medical Students of the University of Peradeniya, supporters of the anti-ragging faction, were brutally assaulted while returning to their Hall of Residence on Wednesday (02) night.

The two students, Kasun Rambukwella and Weerasinghe, are being treated at the surgical ward of the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.

They were returning after watching the stage play "Tharavo Igillethi" at the theatre ‘Wala’ of the university.

The University spokesman said yesterday (03) that the incident was being investigated by University Professor Dr. Asoka Dangolla.

It is learnt that the victims are supporters of the anti-ragging faction of the University of Peradeniya.

According to a highly placed campus official the anti-ragging movement at the university is growing popular while ragging supporters are diminishing in numbers.
